The Fool's Journey is a tarot RPG that turns the Major Arcana into a living quest across a hand-illustrated kingdom. It was built for anyone curious about tarot but unsure where to begin, using the structure of a game to make divination feel accessible, personal, and genuinely fun. When you enter, a short personality quiz assigns you one of four archetypes: The Seeker, The Mourner, The Fool, or The Wanderer. Your archetype shapes how every tarot card speaks to you throughout the experience. The moon phase is calculated in real time, so the reading you receive on a Full Moon is different from the one on a Waning Crescent. From there, you explore a map of four locations, each tied to a Major Arcana card: Temperance, The Tower, The Moon, and The Fool. To collect each card, you must solve a series of riddles that echo the card's deeper meaning. The riddles are not trivia. They ask you to think the way the cards think, sideways, in metaphor, through paradox. Answer correctly twice and the card is yours. Fail, and the location grants it anyway, because some lessons arrive without warning. Once all four cards are collected, the game generates a full tarot spread. Each card appears with a reading written specifically for your archetype, followed by a closing passage that weaves together everything you encountered on the journey. The Fool's Journey treats tarot not as prediction but as reflection. Each card in the Major Arcana represents a stage of human experience, and this game lets you move through those stages at your own pace, guided by riddles, moonlight, and whatever archetype you turned out to be.
